At Dr. Fred’s Transmissions LLC, our journey began long before we opened our doors in Texas. Rooted in a rich family legacy of transmission expertise, our story traces back to our founders upbringing in the heart of transmission workshops. From the tender age of 9, Froilan immersed himself in the world of gears, clutches, and torque converters, learning the craft from his family of transmission specialists who owned and operated their own shops.
In 2017, we made the pivotal decision to bring our accumulated knowledge and passion for transmissions to Texas. Armed with years of hands-on experience and a commitment to excellence, we set out on a mission to transform the transmission repair industry. Our vision was clear: after spending five years immersing ourselves in the local market and understanding its intricacies, we would establish our own mark of quality and reliability.
Throughout our journey, we’ve witnessed firsthand the shortcomings of many transmission shops – from prolonged repair times to subpar workmanship and unethical practices. Determined to set a new standard, we joined forces with ATRA, aligning ourselves with an organization dedicated to excellence in transmission repair. Additionally, we understand the importance of preventing burnout, which is why we plan to implement flexible split shifts, such as 4 days on and 3 days off, or 2 days on, 1 day off, 2 days on, and 2 days off.
